Former British Broadcasting Corporation Consultants Participate in Parliamentary Questioning After Claims of Partiality in Leaked Document
We start with inquiries from Conservative MP Caroline Dinenage, who oversees the panel.
She commences by offering details to the leaked document written by Michael Prescott and published in the Telegraph.
"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting this way or that way, My only wish is for it straight, unbiased and fair," he declares.
Upon being questioned whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is systematically partial, Prescott answers: "No I don't. It is important to note, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is exceptional - encompassing informative and entertainment shows."
Nevertheless, he states: "There exists significant effort that needs to be done at the BBC."
A further previous consultant BBC adviser questioned by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the BBC with great importance and that it has a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" regarding dynamic and complex subjects.
"Did the BBC prepared to conduct a proper conversation and argument and act accordingly?" she reflects. "In my view, indeed, they were."
