Starting Lineup

The star midfielder Played in an advanced position on the right while also put in dirty work. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance but mishit a shot over. Withdrawn in the closing stages by a teammate, his competition, after receiving a caution. 7

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah hanging back, he was forced to provide width out wide but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner netting two more strikes in an England shirt. The opener a typical poacher’s finish while the second a classy headed goal having drifted away off his defender. Now 32, his form is unwavering and England have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game out wide. Had a good opening when set up by Bellingham however Strakosha made the save. Rashford had a greater effect in his place. Five
